Lab 3: Record and mix

This compact, sound recording studio includes near-professional equipment and specialist software. It uses the latest Mac hardware and is aimed at audio engineers, but features video editing packages such as Final Cut Pro to design sound for films. Available in the space is an Akai keyboard, ProTools Custom Keyboard, ProTools HD Software, JBL Studio Monitors and a Sony Bravia 46″ TV. Further information can be found in the Lab 3 Handbook.

Recording time in Lab 3 can be booked online, however, users must have first completed Lab 3 Induction Course, which runs approximately twice per month:

• $150 for those with no Pro Tools experience: this three hour session will include an introduction to the Lab 3 environment and an introduction  to Pro Tools
• $50 for those with Pro Tools experience: this one hour session will introduce users to the Lab 3 environment
