Sounds great! Is this a beginner walkthrough or will you be showing us some howto’s such as theming and building portfolios?

  2. Jaymis says:

Hi Rachel. This is a beginner walkthrough using WordPress.com. It will be focused on setting up a blog and writing content, rather than web development.

That said, I run a web development company when I’m not at The Edge, so we definitely have capabilities to give some more advanced classes, if there’s interest.

  6. Jaymis says:

Hi Louisa. No “app” right now, but we’re working on making an iCal feed work with the calendar, so you can subscribe with your own calendar program, google calendar etc.

WordPress is amazing. I started using it a few months ago and I learn more everyday. This beginners workshop would have been useful a few months ago, I’ve figured out the basics now.

A more advanced workshop covering making your own themes, and other more advanced wordpress features.
