Show Pony featuring mervin Jarman

6–8pm Friday 30 April 2010
Bookings: just rock up

Proving he’s not just an awesome ideas man/project manager, mervin will spin some records, show off some of his projects, and jam with local band Kitch at The Edge.

His iStreet Lab project features full-on media labs contained in bright yellow wheelie bins. They’re battery powered so they go anywhere and mervin usually plants them in the middle of groups of young people hanging out on street corners.

Then he shows them how they can use the wheelie bin media labs to record and mix their own music right there on the footpath. The tracks he’ll be playing at Show Pony will include some of those created on the streets of Jamaica and London.
