Young People and the Arts Australia Symposium

8–10 June 2010

Young People and the Arts Australia (YPAA) invites you to attend a national symposium next month at The Edge, exploring the connections between arts, culture, and the creative lives of children and young people.

It’s a big old three day symposium on 8 to 10 June and as well as the symposium, there are masterclasses. The whole program is at YPAA’s website and you can book your spot at QTIX.

There are all sorts of national and international industry leaders coming to talk like Lenore Skenazy of the Free Range Kids movement and Alexander Devriendt, Artistic Director of Belgian youth theatre company Ontroerend Goed.

As well as hearing from experts, you’ll be able to voice your opinions and contribute to discussions about young people in the arts and network your butt off with other industry types.

The aim of the symposium is to create important links between and within industries where trends, research, projects, ideas and visions for future community integration though the arts will be seen and shared.
