Brush with the Real World showing

6pm Thursday 24 June 2010
Facilitator: John Haag
Cost: Free
Bookings: abrushwiththerealworld@gmail.com

Brush with the Real World is an interactive stop-motion project. That means there’s been a guy in a funny looking suit bouncing around Lab 2 and a cute animated character bouncing around on the projection screen in perfect synchronisation.

The Brush team is using this high-end technology to create a cartoon environment you can watch and enjoy PLUS become part of the two dimensional cartoon world yourself. This project  is more than a comical look at the world of animation; it’s a peep into a whole new genre of live performance.

This showing will be its very first—a preview of its official debut for Powerkidz at the Brisbane Powerhouse on 6 and 7 July—as well as a behind-the-scenes look at the way the this unique production has been created by animator and performer, John Haag and his team.
