Robowars: full metal carnage

Cost: Free
Who: Robowars
Where: the Death Pit at The Edge (follow the signs)
Bookings: just rock up or click ‘attending’ on the Facebook event

A day of brutal, hyperactive fun is about to explode over here.
On Saturday 26 June, The Edge will be taken over by remote controlled robots fighting gladiator style for the national robotics competition Robowars.
Completely free, Robowars will feature a live DJ and cash prizes as well as robotic violence. The event will be held in The Edge’s loading bay and you will be able to watch from right next to the arena and one level up on the State Library’s forecourt.
If you would like to get in on the action, enter the competition to have control of a robot in the battle!
In April and May The Edge held ‘build your own robot’ workshops. Check out photos and video of the products of the workshops.
