Worlds of Work: awesomeness by the FYA

In April and May, The Edge hosted the pilot of the Foundation for Young AustraliansWorlds of Work program.

The FYA spent two weeks with groups of students and teachers from Loganlea State High School and Aspley State High School and the pilot was a great success, achieving all targeted outcomes for students.

The program opened students up to new possibilities in life and work outside their local area, allowed them to expand and deepen their understanding of what it takes to succeed in life and work, and increased their ability to identify and utilise their skills and strengths to achieve their future aspirations.

Have a look at the video below to see what the WOW program is all about and a bit about what happened at The Edge.

FYA is currently in discussions with various groups about expanding WOW in Queensland. To keep up to date with the program’s development, check out FYA’s website, Twitter and Facebook.
