The Brisbane Web Design meetup group is a local, non-profit and self-organised monthly event aimed at bringing together the creative people around Brisbane to connect, discuss and learn about all things web and design related.

Brett Sirianni: The Edge Website Case Study
Brett presents an intro on what The Edge is and a little background on the why’s and the how’s. He will then present a case study on The Edge online. What were there objectives of the site, who it was targeted at, how a platform was decided on and how it has worked 5 months in. He will also discuss how it has evolved and what improvements could be made and new directions to take.

Simon Elvery: CSS3 Pseudo Classes and Elements
The range of pseudo classes made available in CSS3 is a huge improvement to the status quo. In addition to pseudo classes, CSS3 introduces the concept of pseudo elements which didn’t (really) exist before. We’ll look at the range of pseudo elements and classes defined by the CSS3 specification, what makes them ‘pseudo’ and how you can start using them right now.

    Looks as thought this is a really fantastic idea and really interested in following its workings , Think this is a fantastic idea for the designer communications and activities am just finishing one year of studies in the design . Am searching everywhere for help influences nessesities within the field , this is like a goldmine , (I am presuming) Thank you , I will keep a keen eye on the events and info.
