As a relative newbie to the edge community i wouldn’t want to appear outspoken but spurred on by your kind invitation to do so, I will take the opportunity to give some feedback. \Particularly about the Muffins.
The white chocolate and raspberry one is the bomb !!
Just one more reason why I think the whole concept of The Edge is one of brisbane’s greatest (virtually unknown) assets ! I have actually had some involvement and discussions with BCC Creative Communities in the past about design collaborative s so to have literally stumbled across the facilities recently I’m a GREAT fan of the whole concept for a multitude of reaasons. I should pre-empt my next comment by admitting that in the world of high tech, I’m the guy that though an Ipad was that thing on elastic around my head when i wear my pirate suit ! Maybe its because i can only see out of one eye a lot of the time, but I don’t find the website very user friendly at all…..A bit frustrating actually, but i emphasise that may not be anyone’s problem but my own!My only other comment is that I wonder how well the available facilities will cope with numbers if it weren’t such a well kept secret? What if the muffins are always sold out ??? I dread the thought !
While on the topic of food and drinks, may I congratulate The Edge for having the cheapest 600ml bottle of coke variety within the Cultural Centre Precinct. However, can you please bring back Coke Zero?

Lookin good so far. One possible bug – your url parsing in email fails in Mac Chrome (Mac Firefox OK though) per the below.
I got this in an invite: ”To eyeball Beck Waite’s profile visit: http://edgeqld.org.au/members/Rebekah Waite/”
but Chrome chokes on that url, needs to be ”http://edgeqld.org.au/members/Rebekah%20Waite/”
dunno…is it the browser?
It’s the coding of spaces in the emails that is the problem, we’re working on it with the BuddyPress developers

Hey guys,
Only suggestions I have for the moment are the following
* When funds are available could we invest in some more functional seats? I’m talking about higher backed chairs with better lumbar support which don’t leave your back aching after hours spent in the edge.
* Higher bandwidth for the wifi network; currently, speeds of 10kbps are the norm. When dealing with multimedia this doesn’t really cut it, usually.The food, staff, service and location are great, and I love the edge. But these two would make it perfect.
I’m agree. The seats are good for a short usage.
Thanks for the feedback – we’ve put the bean bags upstairs as an interim solution to the backless chairs (they look great, but are not really functional!) and we are working on some other solutions.
Wifi is at the top of the priority list, thanks for making a note. We are working with our ICT team to get it running smoother (and faster!).

Bugs I’ve noticed recently:
- my notifications link to the home page of the site rather than to the relavant post
- the mention assistant that pops up when you type ’@’ doesn’t always give the correct mention, ie. the link goes to the wrong personThanks Nick
