Before you book a workshop or induction, have a read of our Frequently Asked Questions.

Do you offer refunds?

We can refund tickets with minimum 7 days’ notice. For details on cancellations, refunds and exchanges, please refer to our booking policy

My son/daughter is 15 years old, can they attend your inductions?

Unfortunately, no. Inductions and workshops are for those aged 16 and over. We do occasionally run workshops for younger participants, but if this is the case, we will always state it on the event listing.

I have no (or very little) experience on the Mac platform. Can you help?

We recommend you familiarise yourself with using a Mac by utilising our Digital Media Lab prior to your workshop. We provide free access to Lynda.com to assist you in your self-guided learning.

What should I bring with me to the class?

Pen, notepad and a USB. We supply the hardware and software, so all you need to bring is a USB or external hard drive to save your work, and something to take notes with.

I am a person with disability / the person I am enrolling is a person with disability. Can you help?

Yes, we can.
Just email us at appliedcreativity@slq.qld.gov.au and let us know what kind of support or service you require. It’s important to note that our spaces are not fitted with any assistance equipment, but we can organise it for you, if you let us know in advance.

What if I'm running late to a class?

Please call us, and let us know! Phone 07 3842 9400.
If you're running late, we may give your seat to someone else. It’s important to note that if you are late, the facilitator cannot repeat the content you’ve missed.

Do you have a waitlist?

No. We do not offer a waitlist on inductions and workshops.

I missed out on an induction! When's the next one coming up?

Great question, we get this one a lot! Keep an eye on our e-news to hear about upcoming workshops and inductions.

Do you run webinars or live casts of these courses?

No. Great idea though! We know people who already do it, and they do a pretty good job of it. As an SLQ member, you have free access to Lynda.com with thousands of online courses and tutorials. You can study at home, or come in and book a Mac in the DML.

If you can’t find the answers to your questions here, read through our Booking Terms and Conditions, or contact us on info@slq.qld.gov.au or 07 3842 9400.
