Premiere Pro 1: Video editing for beginners

New to video editing? Get started with this Premiere Pro class for beginners.


In this intro session, we’ll use a short, prepared film scene to show you how to:

  • Import, edit and export video
  • Make in and out points as well as how to cut and trim video footage
  • Add basic transitions and basic colour correction effects
  • How to adjust audio and sound
  • How to add titles
  • Export the final video for the web

At the end of the class you’ll be across the basics of digital non-linear video editing and we’ll send you home with a cheat sheet to refer to when needed.


Prerequisites: Intro to Mac class or proficiency with the Mac operating system.

InDesign 3: Advanced editing with Adobe InDesign

Create slick documents for digital and print publications in this advanced InDesign course.


Over 4 hours we’ll walk you through advanced features of InDesign:

  • Powerful tools for streamlining the editing process
  • Configuring documents properly from the outset
  • Creating interactive PDF’s, forms and e-publications using tools like: table of contents, buttons, hyperlinks, basic animations and linked content
  • Liquid layouts, layout planning and set-up
  • Advances page options: Creating documents with different page sizes
  • Converting existing documents to a format appropriate for digital publication
  • Small Intro to DPS within Indesign

Prerequisites:

  • This is an intermediate to advanced course, and requires a solid understanding of InDesign, its common tools and terminology. If you are new to InDesign, please attend the other introductory courses.
  • Intro to Mac class or proficiency with the Mac operating system.
