One Last Apocalypse is reaching its peak on Sunday 3 December, in the form of two prototype experiences – and we want you to come and play!
So what is this One Last Apocalypse?
One Last Apocalypse is a project that we’ve been delivering at The Edge over the past six months. To recap, it’s a project that has explored the idea of apocalypse as change, and given The Edge the opportunity to reconnect with programming from years ago: The Zombie Climate Apocalypse.
All the book clubs, meetups, and sessions have been around dissecting, unpacking, and throwing apocalypse ideas up against the wall.
These ideas have landed in two prototype forms: One immersive experience, Bio Crisis, and one Game experience, Cardboard Kaiju.
Sunday 3 December, 12pm – 3pm, Free registration
A biological weapon in the form of mosquitoes was accidentally released in Brisbane and has taken many lives.
Have you been infected?
Come to the Biotech Lab at The Edge and undergo resistance testing to see if you’ll survive.
Sign up to one of the following sessions to check if you have been infected.
Sunday 3 December, 12pm – 4pm, Free, no registration required
A giant Kaiju (monster) is trying to take over a large-scale cardboard city in The Edge Auditorium. Come and defend Brisbane against the Kaiju in this collaborative board game experience.
No bookings, just drop in and wait for your turn.
Come along and join in one or both experiences and add in some final ideas…
We hope to see you on 3 December, from 12pm!
Both prototype experiences have been created by a dedicated group of community members at The Edge, State Library of Queensland.
