Making digital music is awesome and making it with controllers is even more awesome but they’re expensive magical boxes no one understands. At The Edge, we want to change that and pull the curtain back on an open source, DIY solution to create awesome controllers for you or the ones you love. Soldering, Arduino, buttons and Abelton; it’s not going to get much better if any of that makes sense to you.
Experience: Some experience with soldering required, everything else we will teach you 🙂
It is important to note, that this is a two-part weekend workshop, and to complete your MIDI Controller, you’ll need to attend: Part 1 on Saturday 16/12/2017, and Part 2 on Sunday17/12/2017. Also, please ensure you wear enclosed, flat footwear to both sessions, as we’ll be working in the Fabrication Lab.
Before you book, please read our Short Courses FAQ. You’ll find answers to age restrictions, what to bring, what to do if you’re running late, refunds and more. For more detailed information, please refer to our Booking Terms and Conditions.
